Abbazia di San Galgano is a beautiful and historic abbey located in the Tuscan countryside, near the town of Chiusdino in Italy. 

The abbey was built in the 13th century and features stunning Gothic architecture, including a soaring roofless nave, which is open to the sky.

The abbey is named after Saint Galgano, a 12th-century knight who is said to have renounced his worldly possessions and stuck his sword into a rock, creating a cross. This cross is now housed in the abbey’s chapel and is one of the most famous relics in Tuscany.
